For Wildlife Research, Conservation and Education

Research

Following Dr Jane Goodall's footsteps after 55 years of research in Gombe, Tanzania, JGI researchers continue to study the chimpanzee ethology, biology and ecology across the habitat of the chimpanzee in Africa, using the latest available technologies to gather and analyze data.

Conservation

The JGI applies the Community Centered Conservation methodology in its programs to try to protect the chimpanzee and all other species living in its habitat, from extinction. To do so, sustainable livelihood and development activities are identified and implemented by the local population, with the JGI's technical assistance.

Roots&Shoots

Education is probably the most important pillar for global sustainability. Roots&Shoots, the program that has inspired thousands of young people to make the world better for humans, animals and the environment, is also spreading in Europe. Create your group.
