Become a chimp guardian or a donor

By adopting one of the orphans at the Tchimpounga Sanctuary in the Republic of Congo or donating to the JGI as a regular donor or a campaigner, you contribute to:

  • Provide a safe haven for orphaned chimpanzees in need of rehabilitation and care, through our sanctuaries

  • Restore African habitat through balanced, sustainable, community programs which involve local citizens in conservation and community development.

  • Educate and empower children through our global youth programme – Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, through which young people work together to help people, animals and the environment.

Create a Roots&Shoots group

By creating or helping to create a Roots&Shoots group, you are:

  • Making positive change happen for your communities, for animals, and for the environment.

  • Setting an example for others to follow in your community.

  • Joining a network of 130,000 other young people across 130 countries around the world who are making a difference.

Join us in Europe or Africa
